Al,
I had the same leak on the port side fixed port when my boat was new. It
was a manufacturing defect (the port was not properly sealed). The
dealer reset the port and settled up with Catalina.

Good day all. Looking for experience and findings regarding two  
specific sources of water into the hull.
1) Port side fixed portlight area. Scupper spills directly onto  
window, then we find a water trail coming out below and behind the  
wood panel, and on down into port storage / setee . What is the  
remedy / source of this stream?
2) Forward : telltale dirty trickle from limber hole at aft of chain  
locker bulkhead. leaves a blackish dirty trail?
