I'm in the process of installing dinghy davits on my boat.=A0=A0 I purchase=
d the heavy duty davits from Garhauer at Strictly sail a couple of years ag=
o.=A0 I'm attempting to lift a RIB with a 25 hp 4 stroke on it.=A0 The weig=
ht is going to come in around 400-500 lbs.=A0 I'm=A0not really sure I"ll be=
 able to lift it but I'll be trying.=A0 The first attempt bent the stern ra=
il out quite a bit so Garhauer sent me some compression posts to help.=A0 O=
ne oversight I made in installing them was to attach them to the rail and t=
hen just drill holes to mount on the stern.=A0=A0 I highly suggest one "pre=
-loads" the compression posts prior to drilling the holes.=A0 I can take so=
